Academics & Model

Christian
We have conducted extensive research to ensure that our curriculum is not only excellent, but upholds Biblical values. Our goal is that as your student progresses through the curriculum, they are not only growing academically, but that you and your family will find opportunities to go deeper in your understanding and faith in God.

Hybrid Model
School Days: Tuesday | Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Home Days: Monday | Wednesday | Friday
Mondays and Wednesdays you will have curriculum to work through. Friday we hope to use as an optional day for overflow, catch up, or projects. This is so you can set the pace for your home days. Our goal is keep what is beautiful about homeschool, but pair it with the opportunities and learning experience students get in a traditional classroom.

Classical
The Classical elements that we incorporate at our school beyond our curriculum selections are narration, dictation, recitation, and guided dialectic discussion. We do teach Latin as well. We have an “on ramp” for our Latin courses for all ages. If your student is new to Latin that is okay. It is not a requirement that any student would know Latin prior to attending CCA.
Curriculum
At CCA we are very passionate about curriculum and our goal is to keep the main thing the main thing, which is academics. Each student is required to take a quick math placement assessment so that we can be sure they will be in the best math class for them. We have hand picked curriculum from different publishers and curated a robust education that is classical and Biblically rooted. We will send each parent a list of curriculum to purchase for your student for the academic school year. At CCA we use a few different curriculums such as: Saxon Math, Veritas Press, The Good and The Beautiful, Memoria Press, along with some items we have curated ourselves.
Our goal with our curriculum is to create life long learners! We aim to make learning fun, and full of exciting opportunities. History and Science for our grammar school students is hands on and full of experiments. The students will re-create historical scenes, and discover how fun science can be through experimentation. At CCA we also teach a classical arts class. We study classical music, learn to observe classical art, and create art as well.
If you have specific curriculum questions don’t hesitate to reach out. We welcome your questions! Be sure to come to one of our information meetings coming soon. We will bring our curriculum, as well as our parent resource binders, and check lists.
We do require uniforms for CCA. Click the link to see our school dress code.
“Is it not the great defect of our education today that although we often succeed in teaching our pupils “subjects,” we failed lamentably on the whole in teaching them how to think? They learn everything except the art of learning.”
