The Best of Both Worlds

A classical Christian education that brings together the richness of classroom instruction, the flexibility of learning at home, and the enduring partnership between parents and teachers.

Education Rooted in Community and Family

Civitas Classical Academy is built upon the conviction that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our hybrid model is designed to support, not replace, the family unit by providing a structured academic framework that honors the vital role of the home environment. We believe that true education involves the formation of the whole person—mind, heart, and soul—which is best achieved through a tight-knit partnership between dedicated teachers and intentional parents.

By blending on campus learning with flexible home-based reinforcement, we offer a rhythm that fosters both academic excellence and character development. Our mission is to cultivate critical thinkers and virtuous leaders who are grounded in a Biblical worldview, prepared to engage the world with wisdom and grace. In this community, students don't just learn subjects; they learn how to seek what is true, good, and beautiful alongside their family and peers.

What Does a Week Look Like?

MONDAY & WEDNESDAY
Home Days

Students complete assigned lessons and independent practice at home with vital parent guidance and support. Assignments are coordinated by the classroom teacher to ensure consistency.

TUESDAY & THURSDAY
Campus Days

8:30 AM — 3:30 PM

On-campus instruction focused on community, guided learning, Socratic discussion, and rich interaction with teachers and peers in a traditional classroom setting.

FRIDAY
Flexible Learning Day

A day for enrichment projects, nature study, catching up, or family rest. Teachers do not assign new work, allowing for deeper exploration of interests.

What Makes Our Model Different?

Academic Excellence

Rigorous classical instruction focused on teaching students how to think, fostering intellectual curiosity and a deep love for learning through the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Family Partnership

We empower parents as the primary mentors of their children, providing structured curriculum and academic support while honoring the sanctity and influence of the home environment.

Christian Formation

Education rooted in a Biblical worldview, prioritizing spiritual growth and the cultivation of virtue, helping students see all of reality through the lens of faith.

Community

A supportive, shared journey where families don't have to do school alone. We foster a vibrant campus culture that strengthens relationships between students, teachers, and families.

Teaching Students How to Think

At Civitas, classical education is more than a curriculum; it is a formation of the whole person. Students engage with the Great Conversation through narration, dictation, and recitation—methods that cultivate a deep memory and a clear voice. Through guided Socratic discussion, they learn to analyze ideas with wisdom and virtue. The study of Latin provides the key to language and logic, while our integrated approach invites students to pursue the timeless ideals of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in every subject.
